内容記述 | "The purpose of this study is to examine the written content of North Rhine-Westphalia's revised curriculum for Sachunterricht in 2021. In doing so, we will also identify the characteristics of the content of the ""Democracy and Society"" learning area. The results of the study are as follows Expected competencies included ""visualizing transferable knowledge and abilities in relation to observable actions"" and ""describing learning outcomes that are cumulative and systematically linked. The content of the learning area ""Democracy and Society"" was also considered to be central to the social scientific perspective of Sachunterricht, and its focus consisted of three components: communal life in the classroom, school, and society; life in the media and consumer society; and a diverse society. Specifically, it aimed to address issues such as political and social issues, the forms, characteristics, and rules of democratic community life in society, and the rights and missions of students as members of society. Correspondingly, students were expected to acquire competencies such as ""participating in democratic decisions in the class and school community and implementing the decisions of the majority"" and ""explaining democratic decision-making processes in a political context.""" |
